Caramelos EL CASERIO de TAFALLA

History

In the late 1930's, there was a master confectioner from the Navarran town of Tafalla who made pine nut sweets and toffees of such extraordinary quality and exceptional flavour, that he quickly made a name for himself in the area.

In 1964,this master confectioner joined forces with another three entrepreneurs from Tafalla to create an outlet for their highly successful product. Their brainchild was El Caserío, a company designed to expand the market for this unique, select sweet.

In 2002, El Caserío launched the sugar-free dulce de leche (caramelized condensed milk), still the only sugar-free handmade sweet in the world.    

Today, after forty years keeping up with a rapidly-changing market, the unparalleled quality and flavour of El Caserío pine nut sweets has remained unchanged. This has made the company an industry leader and its sweets a benchmark for the world of confectionery and sweet manufacturing.
